In Venice un’ombra<\/a> means a glass of wine between meal or with cicchetti. It also means a shadow. And origins of expression come from time when there were wine sellers at St. Marks square and they moved along with the shadow of the Bell Tower of St. Marks. So having a glass of wine in shade has transformed to a very apt expression un’ombra.<\/p>\n
