Guidebooks mentioned it just as Do Mori<\/span>\u00a0with rough whereabouts.\u00a0Addresses in Venice, like San Polo 429, tell you which reggio<\/span>\u00a0or part of town to look for the given door number. Each street has consecutive series of numbers but it doesn’t much help finding the right door, because there is no system which\u00a0way to look for next street and next set of numbers. Street names would be more helpful and quite often you can find them from internet, but don’t trust google<\/span>\u00a0map or any other map to give exact place of any door number. So we walked around the area and didn’t find it. Well we were there at wrong time, it was closed then. Another day, another try and a guess that it could be Cantina<\/span> Do Mori<\/span> in google<\/span> maps. And there it was door invitingly open with customers talking and sipping wine.<\/p>\n

It’s been there from 1462 and you can see and feel it. It’s close to Rialto market and many locals drop there after visit to market. Prices were reasonable and cichetti and wine was good. It’s a bit hard to find, but it’s worth the trouble.<\/p>\n

Un’Ombra<\/h2>\n

Locals ask for un’ombra<\/a>. It means a glass of wine: red, white or prosecco. And with a glass you usually also take cicchetti. Which is a small snack. Very similar to tapas or pintxos in Spain. Having a snack with a drink is a good idea and can be found in other cultures too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
