Found object was sooty and rusty metal grill. I assume it was attach to a wooden frame and was used as ventilation grill or something similar. Object was found close to a pool at Kakolanmäki. Kakola was a prison for the most dangerous prisoners. Pool was not part of high security prison area. But for arts sake I assume some prisoners had access to pool and nearby exercise area. At summer pool was frequently used by local kids.
In photo you can see a recently hatched common goldeneye (Bucephala clangula). I’m sure later in the autumn it was able to fly away.
Update:
Kakolanmäki in Turku has been under construction. Old prison buildings have been reformed (pun intended) and there are new buildings too. Based on maps and satellite images pond has been filled up and there is a park for dogs in place.

Metal grill is 75cm tall and 49cm wide, image area is about 48cm tall and 33cm wide.
Captures the eye, a great find.
